I can tell it 'hey google! play elctroboom's latest video!' and instead of playing his latest video, it'll find some random person's playlist and start playing it. Yea sure, the remote allows you to just use your voice, but its powered by Google Assistant and I have not ONCE gotten it to play what I want using just voice. its just constant menu surfing and I can't stand it.

Using something like the TV's menu, or a Chromecast 'with google tv''s menu, I would have to find YET ANOTHER REMOTE, navigate through some menu to find the category of app that i want, find the app within that menu and open it, navigate through that apps menu to find whatever it is i'm wanting, then play. If I wanna watch something from youtube, I open youtube, find what I want to search using the phone's keyboard/screen/whatever, tap cast, tap where I want to cast, done. If I wanna watch something from plex, I open plex on the phone, choose my movie, tap cast, tap where I want to cast, done. Where as just having an app already on my phone, I can search for what I want, make two taps, and BOOM I'm watching whatever content I want. I hate having something that's bloated down with all sorts of things, forcing me to hunt through menus upon menus just to find what I want to do. I've gotta say, what you found 'very annoying' was exactly what I loved about it.
